Walked 3.1 miles again this morning...dogs along for 2 miles. Beautiful, sunny day, with temps starting out in the upper 60's, so it was a perfect day for walking.

I have renewed focus to try to hit 150 by next Tuesday, the 15th. No special reason except it's a mid-month marker and I've been pushing this goal further and further into the year so it's time to ACHIEVE it! In truth, it may be a tad bit ambitious/unrealistic, but I should be able to drop a pound by then if I just pay attention to what I'm doing.

There will be an unexpected trip to the grocery store today. We're actually running out of romaine lettuce! That will never do!! This basically never happens, as I can pretty much figure out how much we need when I do the weekly shopping. But, either I goofed up or we've been eating bigger salads (not necessarily a bad thing) or we've been eating more of them (also not bad), so off I'll go this afternoon.

Hope to get some household decisions made this weekend on paint color and landscaping ideas.

Only 2 pounds - if anyone can do it you can! That lettuce is wonderful stuff. I tried planting it one year and I attracted every rabbit in the forest.

PS - How is your husband's eye coming?

Buffy, we did OK with varietal lettuce several years back, but the washing of it....oh my!....I thought I would NEVER get rid of all the sand! Never did get around to trying romaine. As for DH's eye....well, the retinal specialist can now see the surgically repaired retina and can see what the problem is, but feels it's not the best thing to go back in there right now, so we're in a wait-and-see period for the next 3 months. DH is not happy about that, but he does very much appreciate a conservative doctor who would rather err on the side of caution than a doctor who feels invincible.

I have to say I truly love the convenience of pre-washed greens. And I certainly can understand why your DH is so impatient.
