2010fitagain's Journal, 18 March 2010

So my daughter is 22, 125 pounds, 17% body fat and eats everything... remember those days? Not. Because she does something I never did. She exercises alot! (Spinning, biking, hikin, horseback riding, swimming) and goes to school full time (we're talking vet school)

Are some people just genetically pre-disposed to exercise or have endorphins that come knocking on the door to wake them up every morning? Well, I wish the exercise fairy would come down and kick my butt....

In the meantime

For one - she is young. Our metabolism tends to slow down as we get older. But if she keeps her active lifestyle she should be able to handle it. Eating is not a bad thing. I, for one, have always had the opposite problem of not eating enough which slows your metabolism. With my food choices and a slow metabolism - I gain weight. Thankfully I found the Atkins plan and have learned to like eating and how to eat more often.
