Yesterday it was 60 days since I started the Keto lifestyle, I have already lost 11 kilograms, I feel very good, the truth is that I’ve never been able to maintain a rhythm like this in my life, this is the first time that I’ve been able to maintain a record, in which I have not been hungry as in many other diets. I’ve said in previous posts that I feel great, with energy and all the other benefits of this WOE.

Yesterday I had my appointment with the doctor, she saw my lab results, she told me that everything was perfect, that my thyroid is working very well with the medication, she told me that my glucose levels and others were fine but of course if I stopped eating carbohydrates It is obvious that they will come out well hahaha. She agreed that I quit metformin because if I don’t eat carbohydrates then I don’t need it anymore. However, she told me that I should eat more carbohydrates hahahaha that the minimum recommended is 150grs daily, that she knows the ketogenic diet but blah blah blah .....

I listened to her patiently, I told her how good I felt now, I reminded her that my lab results were in front of her and that she could see that everything was fine as she had told me 5 minutes before ...

She told me that now that I am no longer eating carbohydrates as I used to, that I should take instead of metformin to take Januvia ...

I think I'm going to find a second opinion hahaha, the truth is that I no longer trust my doctor ... A year ago she ordered me to take at the same time, metformin, euthyrox, alpha lipoic acid, topamax and to inject me byetta !!! Of all that the only thing that served as something was the euthyrox that really need it and metformin, everything else seemed an exaggeration, and gradually I stopped taking it.

I ask myself, if my doctor knew that with a ketogenic diet I didn’t have to take so many medications why did she preferred to get me so many drugs instead of offering me a keto diet? Definitely the mercantilism of drugs and medicines is stronger than the fact of being naturally healthy.

I appreciate my doctor but I do not trust her anymore ...

Good luck in your search for a good doctor. Mine believes the drug company propaganda, too. Or in selling it, anyway.

👍👍👍 I had to take Metformin for 2 years and since 2 years I don't take it any more 😉 Everything is fine. Good luck to you, I started keto one month ago, lost 8,3 kg and feel good. Best decision ever, thanks to many people eating keto and sharing the experience here. Thank you for your support btw 😘👍

Good for you, 10 years ago I went to my obgyn for a check up, he found fibroids and wanted to do a hysterectomy right away, I was 33, he tried to put me in panic mode with the “cancer” talk, I told him “you are not taking anything away from me, you just want the money from the surgery and then the perks from te pharma for all the medication you will have to give me after”, left and did my research, went into treatment with an holistic nutritionist, a year after the fibroids were almost gone. There si always an alternative to medication. I get my check ups and if there is anything that needs to be fixed I’ll go to an alternative medicine doctor.

Thanks for your words, I don't have much hope of finding a doctor that I like but if I got one that at least doesn't want to fill me with pills it would be a start. And without your support I would never have gotten here much less would have discovered the Keto lifestyle. Thanks 😘😘😘
