Time2FixMe's Journal, 02 December 2017

Oh buddies what a miserable week it's been! It took me the entire week to catch up at work, we've never been this busy around this time of year. Personally, I've also had commitments every day but one which is also unusual. Not to mention the stress of shopping I don't even want to be doing that I refer to a 'hunting and gathering'. Then on top of that, I've had a couple of excruciating days as we begin to contemplate putting my grandma in a nursing home and all the change that will inevitably come with it. I feel myself slipping into a whole new period of mourning and my mother and I are not seeing eye to eye on the future of our own relationship. And finally, I stonewalled and snapped at that person who came back into my life. Needless to say, there's a A LOT of decompressing I need to do this weekend!

As a result, I've had 3 of the best workouts of the year. I can feel myself letting all that frustration and upset out on the treadmill. Yep, I even ran my fastest ever mile last night in 14:08!

On the food front, I've been horrible. Polished off an entire case of Lofthouse cookies in two days. I absolutely cannot keep these goodies in the house! BUT I think my weight loss proved I've been under eating. Even with the damage I was around 1,200-1,400 calories per day and the weight just fell off.

I'm sorry to vent, that's just life right now but I'm not letting it stand in my way!

Vent all you like; that's why we're here! It's better to get it out then to do something to sabotage yourself. I've been working a lot lately too and our industry is also usually quite this time of year. Most people are holiday shopping instead of refinancing homes. It's stressful; I totally get that. I was reading about that Penny chick from The Big Bang Theory. She said she was really stressed out and her friend told her to go wash her hair. She said it relaxed her and made her feel like she was washing away the stress and grim of the day. Be well my friend and blessing to you and your family. ~ Andi
