I weighed about the same on Feb 26!!!Practically two weeks ago. This is very frustrating. I am being good about recording everything. Not doing anything different than I was the prior 10 days when I lost 3 pounds. Is a plateau supposed to last two weeks?! I bet any weight at all I've lost is just water weight. Why does fat have to stick to my body like glue or a magnet? I am going to the gym just as much as I can averaging 5 days a week. Cardio lasts at least 30 minutes and weight training at least 1 hour. That leaves my diet. I am not strict enough. Even though my overall calories are lower than my RDA, I must be eating all the wrong foods. I know sweets are bad, but I didn't know a bowl of cereal w/ skim milk, low fat yogurt, low fat cottage chesse (that I choke down) and fruit were bad. Protein bars, are they bad?? It's like you need a PHD to understand nutrition. I am sorry I am so angry, but I am just bummed. I feel like I am running out of time before warm weather gets here. I wanted to be 150 by May 1st and at my snail's pace, that isn't going to happen. I'm going to try and ramp up the protein for the next few days, and I'm off work for three days, I'll hit the gym hard even though I have a booty load of stuff to do around the house. My family will just have to understand. Blah. And yes, I would like some cheese with my whine...Sorry for the rant, I just needed to do it.

Don't get discouraged. You have just reached a plateau (sp?). (I know, easier said than done, huh)? BUT, once you break through, the pounds will start falling off again. Looking at your weight history, you have done FANTASTIC!!! Keep up the GREAT work (and google "weight loss plateau" or whatver the spelling is :o)). Best of luck!!!

Maybe its time to do something different. Switch up the exercise routine or the food such as how much at a time and how often or maybe try new foods. Also if I'm PMS-ing or its that time of the month I notice my body acts differently. Our bodys are such a mystery. Congrats on all your weight loss! Its very inspiring :D

to make it short and sweet "Platuea Suck" and we all hate seeing them but they happen, but I promise you the weight will start coming off again, just don't give up. Consistency is the key to losing weight!!

If you are doing 1 hour of weight training and 30 minutes of cardio, you are probably replacing some fat with muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat. Therefore while your scale isn't showing a difference, you may be able to see a difference in your muscle tone and how your clothes fit which is a good thing. Maybe you want to decrease your weight training time and increase your cardio time. Do you have a scale that calculates your body fat? You may notice a difference there. Maybe you can try some more intense cardio. But it sounds like you are doing great. You have about 6 weeks to reach your goal and I believe you will.

No matter what you'll never lose weight EVERY week :) I can't lose weight the week of my period, for example. But then I usually lose extra the week after. It's frustrating, but it sounds like you're doing all the right things, so you'll just have to learn to trust yourself. The weight will come off :)

Hey Love, I understand your fustration clearly. Good news is you are NOT on a plateau. Plateau is staying the exact same (no flucts at all) and usually last a LOOOOOONG time. ick. So please get back on the right mindset. Consistency IS key and determination and dedication! Also, your diet calendar looks great. You cals do anyway. Yesterdays Mcdonalds mighta had too much sodium -re gain. Which is NOT much btw, its normal to fluct in weight. Can you maybe swap out the chocolates for dark chocolate? I eat dark chocolate everyday! :) but I justify it cause its a better choice than milk choc. Also, you may be under cals? Just a by bit, if you are working out hard -you need the fuel. Research how many cals you should be at to make sure.

Thanks all. I just had a very good workout and not I am drinking a protein shake. I do not have a body fat calculator, but I do know I've lost inches. So that is good there! Also, Wednesday nights are hard. I am carting my daughter to dance class and her PSR class, so I usually do a grilled chicken sandwich or a grilled snack wrap and fruit and walnut salad. Last night I snuck in a few french fries though:( If I eat chocolate, I usually try to eat Dove dark chocolate promises. Most of the time. Again, thank you all for taking the time to comment. I will not give up, I just needed to get that out. It's a relief to get to rant a little:) I will try to keep my head up! Thanks!

I did hit a plateau last month and my weight did not change significantly for almost a month. However, I never gave up on exercise and careful eating. Now I am losing weight in faster pace. I am sure I will stuck somewhere again, but I know its some bodily function :). So don't get discouraged. Keep up the good work. Also don't forget, even if you are not losing too much weight, you are eating healthier and exercising. Which will/should increase your quality of life. At least that's whats happening to me.

150 by May is definitely possible for you. Just keep working hard and you'll get un-stuck any day now. What if you tried doing 1 hour of cardio and 30 minutes of weights instead? Maybe the added protein will also help you out!
