Does it get easier? You mean the mental adjustment? Now I'm plateauing by choice, to let my brain catch up. In the past, I kept going, then the change was too fast for me to handle emotionally.

Yes the mental adjustment. I guess it took a long time for the click in my brain that made me decide to lose the weight. Now I'm waiting for the click that says yes your body has changed. Other people are noticing but I still feel like I weight my highest weight not like I've lost almost 40lbs.

Do you do visualization? Try closing your eyes, and bring up a picture of yourself in your current or future favorite outfit. Add a favorite scent like perfume or a candle, and enjoy the picture and scent for several deep breaths.
This may help reset your mental image of yourself.

Thank you gz9gjg I'll try that. Today I did try on a shirt my husband bought me for Valentine's Day two years ago and I was pregnant and not able to put it on. It was too tight. I tried after I had my daughter still didn't fit. August 29th I put it on it was tight but I was able to get in it. Today it fit much better. This helped me to realize that the progress is there even when I'm not feeling it. My weight is more evenly distributed so it is coming off everywhere slowly and not as concentrated as someone whose weight is more central to one area.

I’m down 35 pounds overall and had to buy medium shirts instead of XL. Got a whole new wardrobe now and kept the XL stuff for lounging on Sunday’s.

Jgreeblee12 that's a lot of weight to lose and still feel the same. Have you tried talking to doctor about it? I started at 254 and I'm trying to lose 70-100 I didn't get bariatric surgery but my doctor suggested it and that's what made me really start working out and eating healthier.
