Since I started weight training instead of running because of a foot injury (still don't know what's wrong with it), I feel like I am gaining weight. No surprise because lifting weights and swimming both make me so hungry. Also, I just started a new office job in January, sitting for 8 hours a day. Doesn't help that there are unlimited pretzels and chips and candy in the kitchen, next to which is my desk. I try to work out at lunch everyday and sometimes when I get home after work too, but it's not enough to keep the weight off.
I used to live on just sweets and junk food but last year I switched to eating "real" food, and I feel like it just made me heavier. I am hungrier and less satisfied and I still eat some sweets on top of the real food (adding total calories). I'm determined to try eat an all natural (as much as possible) and preservative free fresh food diet but it's really hard sometimes.
