Ok, so the scale and I are on better terms this morning. Still not where I was last weigh in, but getting closer. Diet is going well, actually I should have eaten more so far today but I will get it in eventually. Only got 30 minutes at the gym again today, but I opted only for weights and bumped them quite a bit from where they normally are. I can already feel the soreness in my chest/armpit area. May skip bootcamp today so I can get some things taken care of at home. It's times like this in my life that I can honestly say I would be happy being a stay at home mom. I have never thought that before, but I could make it work for a while at least.

Last night, instead of my ice cream, I opted for another protein shake. I have been using the chocolate muscle milk light and while making it the way it says on the package is ok, it isn't a dessert and it isn't as good as the ready to drink ones you can buy from the store. So the other day I decided to cut the powder amount in 1/2 and use my light vanilla soymilk instead of water. WOW what a difference. It is smooth and creamy and pretty tasty... Yeah, I just said that about a protein shake! It isn't quite as much protein, but I can have a larger shake for less calories than making it with water and 2 scoops and it killed my craving, so it's a win where I am concerned. **Haley, if you're reading this, you should give it a try :)**

Went to bootcamp but kinda half-assed it. BFF managed to hurt her neck right before I got there (I keep threatening her with bubble wrap), so we just kinda chit chatted and got about 1/2 of it done. Then I picked up my daughter and headed home to what I thought would be a content man. BOY WAS I WRONG!! And I chock this up to complete lack of communication. He was out fishing with a friend when I called him after I got off work. At that time he never said anything about heading home right then or wanting to go out anywhere (other than jokingly telling me earlier that we should celebrate the 3 year anniversary of the day we ran into each other at the bar after not seeing each other for 4 years, which we decided we would do this weekend). So when I got home at 6 (minutes after receiving a text asking if I was ever coming home), I was greeted with little more than the silent treatment. When I finally pried it out of him, he was upset because he wanted to go out to dinner and I was at least a half hour later than he expected me. The thing that he didn't take into account is that I had to do bootcamp (which he was cool with at first) and then drive 5+ miles past our house to pick up my daughter and then back home. So yes, on days that I only have to do one or the other, I am home earlier.... gosh! Adjustment period. Adjustment period. Adjustment period. I just have to keep reiterating this to myself, otherwise I am going to snap on him about interrupting MY routine. That wouldn't go over well and I would probably be accused of not wanting him there or something stupid like that.

So I am going to approach it a different way today and hope that through overcommunicating I can have a happy house tonight. Have a great day everyone!!

Good luck with the hubs today! If you guys like sweet Yoplait make frozen coco banana that you can mix with protien powder. I just use a little and it packs a punch for added flavor!!

Bailey, try Almond Breeze Unsweetened Chocolate almond milk. Only 45 calories, and can bump up the choco flavor of the protein powder w/o the boost in calories!! VERY tasty when I make my smoothies... Haley.. nothing says you have to avoid sweets while dieting! Try some of The Zone or Luna protein bars as a snack or even a meal replacement. Like a candy bar but with added nutrition and less of the bad stuff. Luna bars are low glycemic so they have a longer lasting effect and do not impact blood sugars as much. Their Chocolate Covered Coconut bar is AMAZING

Ooh yes! I enjoy most of those Clif, Luna, or Zone bars. It feels like a candy bar but at least you know you're getting protein, fiber and some vitamins/minerals too if you buy the right ones. Clif Oatmeal Raisin is great for me. Luna Nutz Over Chocolate or a Chai one were great, actually I like them all. Hard to pick.
