Holy cookie cake!

As soon as I got back from vacation a couple weeks ago I've been eating and exercising better than ever. I'm motivated and the weather has been unseasonably warm and dry. My employer is also participating in a food/exercise program sponsored by Wegmans called Eat Well/Live Well. The EW/LW concept is that you should try to walk 10,000 steps a day and eat at least 5 cups of fruits or veggies. They even throw in a free pedometer. Great! I've been parking an extra half mile away from my office and hiking my butt off over my lunch hour.

Then...

Yesterday at work, my colleagues brought in a chocolate chip cookie cake to celebrate a birthday. I took a small slice and didn't think much of it until I pulled out my phone to enter the calories.

HOLY CRAP! Cookie cake is evil! At about half my day's calories in one slice, it's just bad. And I don't even like how it tastes! I can see I didn't learn my lesson from vacation. If I don't want or like something, I shouldn't make a special effort to eat it just because I feel like I'm supposed to.
