emilygu's Journal, 13 September 2017

Well I got on the computer at work today and printed off several recipes that are similar to what I used to eat just ketod up lol or low carb. I'm excited to try some of these and put in a binder my fav or semi favs so I'll have a cookbook started of foods I can actually eat. Glad I decided to expand my horizons. I will be eating good while losing the weight. Here's to shedding those pounds.

Eating out is so hard on dieting. It's great you're seeking recipes

This is one of the things I'm just getting back into! 💁🏻and adapting old favorites to a new WOE! Some times it's easier than others! LOL but those tastes, and not feeling deprived are important in switching to a healthy lifestyle I think! 🤷🏻‍♀️

That is very true. I'm getting back into the swing of things after a 3 week absence. Last time I was only eating like pizza (homemade) and other stuff but I decided if I'm gonna make this a lifestyle I might start looking up recipes. So far all the ones I've made is excellent. :)

If you can afford one, I have really enjoyed my hot air fryer. I make a almond air fried chicken that even the kids love. (Basically I puree raw natural almonds, coat chicken strips, and cook in the air fryer.) No flour or oil needed. The natural oils in the almonds is all that is needed to "fry it up" nicely. Lots of protein! Also try experimenting with different spices that are not sodium based. Indian and Thai seasonings can add lots of flavor to anything from fish to broccoli and make it taste exotic.
