I've been sharing what I've eaten and what workouts I'm doing via my Facebook account. It's interesting the feedback I receive. Some have shared that I gross them out with the combinations I create, while others say they are inspired. My niece mentioned to me that she sees me working out and then she switched and started sharing about how much weight she has gained from eating 3 meals a day and her clothes don't fit. I started to share about the containers and portion control, and then realized that she did not want the fix, she just wanted to share.
So many times I too have been where my niece is. I didn't want to do anything about my situation. I did, but not enough to put in the time and effort it takes to actually get results. I have to say it was hard to hear her complain about how hard it is to cook for 1 person and that she eats out nearly every day because of it. My thought (in my head) was "Oh my Gosh, how much money you are spending on eating out, when you could be finding dishes on line for 2 - 4 people and have leftovers for way less!!!" Again, she is not at the point of finding a solution that works and costs significantly less and is significantly better for her health, she just wanted to share. It is very challenging when you have come into the light to keep your mouth shut when you see someone still fumbling around in the dark. But like many of us were, until you are ready and willing,....nothing will stick.
