Woo hoo! Down almost 25 lbs from my start (almost 21 lbs from my recent re-start; hah!). Anyway, I'm very excited and happy about that. Today, I'm going to blow-away my RDI a bit, doing the spiking ("indulgence day") thing that KingKeld has done. I calculate I should do about 5,000 calories today. Zowwie. But, I dropped about 500 cals a day in order to do it. So, we'll see how it goes this time next Saturday.

I've been doing this thing to help motivate myself -- to really see my progress, since looking in the mirror doesn't do it yet. I've made up this chart to show my weight loss in combination with how many gallons of fat I've lost (4!). That really brings it home. To see four gallon-bottles filled with ugly, yellow, fat stuff really helps to visualize the **volume** that's going away.

It has been helping -- a lot. I also added to the chart a thing that shows my weight loss progress compared to my weight gain (right now about 10 times faster than I was gaining, but averaging out to about 4 times faster over the long-haul). That helps me to realize that even a small loss is probably faster than the rate I was gaining it.

Anyway, if I can figure out a place to post the thing online, I'd love to link to it here, and maybe even make some of you a chart like this if you think it would help you, too.
