The darn was because I was at 396.8 and popped back to 403.6. My carbs have been pretty low and I've been about 60% RDI, so the way my weight fluctuates up and down is disheartening. Fat Secret has been such a huge help to KNOW I'm not f*cking up--because the carbs/calories just aren't there. I'm in a Nursing/Physical Rehabilitation facility now and so I have to work around what they serve. A lot of processed carb-laden stuff, so that helps to just not eat sometimes. The have been really helpful with trying to give me some alternate protein sources when possible (hot dog, meat patty, chicken) instead of (pasta, chicken fried steak, chicken nuggets) that are regularly served. I imagine I'll be in a bit of a pickle when I'm cooking for myself again, though FS has helped me feel more confident and in control. I should probably weigh myself less often, but having the bad weigh-ins while I'm retaining water or digesting spurs me on to try harder. The really low carb days are also luck. On the days we have eggs I'm already at a disadvantage because of the carbs in the scrambled eggs that I have to eat because it the only game in town. On pancake, french toast, biscuit& gravy, & so on days they give me 2-3 breakfast sausages. Those seem to be the day when I can really cut things drastically. Hard to eat a lot of breakfast sausages. Thanks again, and you keep up with your good work! Oh, my work out is sit in the Physical Therapy room and do set after set after set after set of dumbell exercises with not real heavy weighs (the heaviest they have is 10#). I'm not on the schedule of either of the Physical Therapist right now, so I sometimes drive them a bit nuts hanging around so much. I just have a much easier time when people are around to joke with than in a small room by myself. Thanks!

I don't eat a lot of veggies or fruit because of the carbs but also because they just don't serve much fresh produce here. Canned green beans are unappetizing and mostly just contain carbs. I do ask for as much California Medley veggies as I can get though. My fave vegetable lately are Avocados. I hadn't had anything green for weeks and saw that they are mostly monounsaturated fat mixed with fiber. Internet says they are technically a berry. Goofy, huh? I've tried just meats & cheese before and did pretty well, but I didn't know about the 20% carbs guideline. Could have done better if I had. Sneaky how many processed meats sneak in some carbs. Have a good one!
