Gout is STILL going on and is probably the worst I've ever had. Instead of hanging out in the right big toe, it's moved to the joints BEHIND the big toe towards the top of the arch...

This means NO WALKING at night and I'm averaging less than 1000 steps a day now. Diet is abck on track after getting crazy on Saturday and giving in to a hatch chili cheese burger on a poppy seed bun! I felt a little bad about it, but figured it was a treat for hitting my first goal. I haven't weighed this week yet, but I am in a new notch on my old belt, guess I had better finish making my new one soon!

Thanks to all the FS folks that post the positive vibes and help keep me motivated.

Thanks my dear! I'm hobbling along and won't let this stop me, I'm too hard headed. I told my wife that I was going to go into this weight loss the same way I do a hobby, I stay at it until I achieve the level of success I want. Thus far, every hobby I've tried I've mastered or reached the level I set for myself. This "hobby" win is still 75 pounds away! Still lots of keto to go!

Get some cherry juice, 100% only, and or a cherry juice supplement. :-)

Meds are correct, just not working like they should. I'm going to get some tart cherry juice this evening when I head home. I think I waited too long to go to the Dr this time and it got really set in...

My dad and brother both always gets gouts and would always have to go to the doctor to get medications. My brother and dad changed up their diet and only get gouts every so often when they eat lots of red meats. Do you know the problem of your gout?

When my Dr and I agreed about me trying the LCHF diet that I'm on, he told me that I would more than likely have a flare up or 2 within the first couple of months. After a couple of months my body should be better about processing the excess uric acid. I keep telling myself that my body is mad at me for not giving in to its "desires" any longer! LOL
