This is tough! And one reason I'm thinking about weighing frequently once I'm at whatever weight turns out to be right for me. That, or DXA scans.

Are you donating or storing?

Storing for me, at this point in time , I only bought minimal amount of new clothes that fit me,it will be hard for me to trust myself, as it is All very new to me!!!

I think its great that you have reached this point. I've been able to alter some of my clothes but some are simply too big and I give them away to charity. It does seem like a waste to give away gently-used clothes but someone else will appreciate them. It's good to put the "big you" into your past! Well done.

I cleaned out the old, big clothes in my closet and suddenly had no clothes to wear at one point! LOL It was fun! 🙋🏻

Sunday, 8/13/17 Steps = 11,188 To store or donate is a tough issue for me. I have always gained the weight back. The elements that are different this time are 1) My husband is my partner in losing weight, 2) My loss has been primarily driven by health concerns and a great deal of pain in my legs, 3) While I have weighed/measured and kept a FS diary of food, we accepted when we started back in January that this would not be a 'diet' but would be a complete life style change. The only change at our goal weight will be adding a few more calories with more fruits, nuts, and veggies. I intend to continue the FS food diary as it keeps me honest. What's weird is that my husband is a pack rat and never wants to get rid of anything. However, he wants all the big clothes out of the house. He has not felt or looked better in over 35 years and seems to have no intention of going back to old habits. His blood tests back in January indicated all kinds of problems. His followup tests this month indicated that every single bad number had returned to normal. He was flabbergasted that a change in his life style could have such a dramatic affect on his health. So... I guess the clothes will be donated. I think we will wait until we both reach our final goal weights and then celebrate with a huge donation. I am apprehensive, but I think it's the right thing to do. I guess I need to have faith in myself... Thanks for all the comments. As you know, it helps a lot to have a community of people with the same challenges and goals!
