SLLockhart's Journal, 16 July 2017

I am feeling a bit under the weather again, but am also upping my water, I think I am not drinking enough water, to get those toxins washed out and they are what is holding me back.

I did eat dinner, and recorded and am getting better at my proteins and fats, so much less carbs for me today. I will be very happy when I get it down pat, to eating more fats and proteins, so much less carbs. I tend to eat too many and that may contribute to my feelings too?

Anyway, Onward and Downward!!!!!

Some good detox herbs, if you're into that kind of thing (I am!): chicory, licorice, dandelion root, and milk thistle. The first three are available as yummy herbal teas at most stores.

Thanks SCWmom, I am taking a supliment of Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc, to keep from getting headaches, migraine to be exact. So that should take care of that. I know my body is going thru withdrawal from all my "junk" but man, does it have to try to kill me? lol SnakeyJane, I am into those things too. I can't stand the Licorice tho, I don't have any Milk Thistle so I am going to make me some good soothing Elderberry tea, with some sage, lemon, mint, and even some honey, well maybe not the honey, but all the others will make me feel better, I hope. Thanks for the input friends!! I appreciate all the help.

I hate licorice candy, but I love licorice tea. Weird, right? Your elderberry mix sounds delightful!

SnakeyJane, does the tea taste like the candy? I have never had Licorice tea. So I am curious. I love my Elderberry tea. It is so good, and Hubby also likes it too. I always add different herbs to it, sometimes Cinnamon, or sage, or mint, or lemon, or sometimes all of those. Elderberry tea is good for you and your immune system. It is one of the ingredients in the four herbs for Cancer killing, and we just like it. Thanks for the post!!

No, I don't think the tea tastes like the candy. It's milder. Like I said, I don't like licorice candy, but I love the tea. I buy Yogi brand. I'll keep an eye out for Elderberry; I think I would enjoy it.

Yes, or you can buy Dehydrated Elderberries at Mountain Rose Herbs and make your own mix. I am going to look for Yogi brand tea the next time I go shopping. Thanks!!

I order a Mountain Rose Herb catalog yesterday. They look like a great resource. Thanks for the suggestion!

SnakeyJane, you can buy them in other places too, or even dehydrate your own, if you can find them ripe before the birds do. lol I have seen them on Amazon.com. Google them, you may find them at good prices too. Not sure. They are a great place to buy stuff, I have bought from them before, and was always happy with my purchase and would buy from them when I need something else.
