I am trying a 40% protein, 30% fat, 30% carb goal. Allows me 100 or so carbs a day, which is considerably less than I used to eat (around 350). I intend to eventually shift to 20% carbs and then to 15% where I intend to stop.
Also has helped me with sugar intake, the first day I logged I ate like I used to (realllly badly), so I could look back and have something to compare to. My goal is 25g sugar daily. The first day I logged I had 999g in one day. I'm not exaggerating. It was a wake up call for sure.
