gilrocriv's Journal, 16 June 2017

Since the last time of my weight in the weight has stayed about the same with a minimal drop. I'm going to try and weight in every 2 weeks on Sunday morning.

I have tried to decrease my carbs but I keep going over by about 30 or 40. I was trying to stay under 80 but I keep in-taking about 120 or more. I wanted to ask about some ways to keep the carbs low. With different foods you guys are eating or would recommend.

I like to eat oatmeal in the morning and I dropped it down to 20 grams or so. If I'm not eating oatmeal I will eat 1/2 a banana. I have limited my self to one flour tortilla a day and have been sticking to it most of the time. I've noticed on days that I do fall lower than 80 grams of carbs I get headaches.

My weekly workouts are Cardio about 30-45 min 3-4 times a week. I just started doing higher weight with reps in the range of 10-12. I'm also doing 200 pushups and 200 situps a day 5 days out of the week. My water intake is more than 1 gallon a day.

I have my routine of weight lifting that I change up every so often just to keep my body from getting used to the exercises.

In the last 3 months I dropped weight to 165 and have noticed that I am more leaner but still have a little belly that is annoying haha.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Have a great weekend.

I believe 100 is the very max to stay in ketosis. This calculator may help out. https://keto-calculator.ankerl.com Regarding your weight and belly fat, remember muscle weighs more then fat and with your weight lifting the scale is deceptive. As far as the belly area. You will build muscle there first then the fat seems to come off. I think your on the right track. Keep up the great work.

Here is a great list of belly fat busters to try instead of the 200 situps. As you know those situps get easy pretty fast so you have to change it up and isolate muscles. Crunches are considered the best for fat burning. But take a look and see what might work best for you. Also, many weight lifters do the 2 day on 1 day rest or 3 day on 1 day rest because muscles grow during the resting stage. 5 days in a row can actually work against you and may even cause an injury. If you enjoy the 5 day workout then you can do lower body one day and upper the next. http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/5-exercises-and-5-foods-to-reduce-belly-fat/

http://www.muscleandfitness.com/workouts/workout-tips/eat-fat-burn-fat They have a Keto and workout guide that emphasizes rest and lower sets to avoid the muscle deterioration that Keto can cause. Mens Fitness and Muscle and Fitness are both great sites for advice, information and motivation. Keep up the great work. 😀
