Ok so haven't written on here for while as been struggling with the food demons but have had long hard think about where to go from here and have decided that by putting to much pressure on my self to shift this weight fast have actually sabotaged myself. slow and steady from now on , gone is the under 15g of carbs a day uped it to 50g a day to enable to still eat food I love but in moderation. So with that plan gonna start Tuesday will update you on how it goes.

Good Insight...Slow and Steady is good...You might even consider upping carbs to 100 some days....even 50 sounds so restrictive...but maybe go for a week and see how it goes...I have been told by a nutritionist that our bodies need "some" carbs in order to burn stored fat...I am sure you will figure it out...You still have a GREAT GRAPH, and I wish you continuing success....keep on keeping on!!!!!!!!

PS: Please understand, I am NOT being argumentative...just thinking how very restrictive 15 carbs a day is.....Take care !!!!!!

Hi! Have u been on the net and worked out your BMR? ( base metabolic rate) If not, do so. It's easy. And once u know your BMR just subtract 500 off it and that's your daily calorie intake. -500 per day, 7 days a week = 3500 calories.. which is 1 pound of fat. That's what u will lose per week on that method. And if u introduce a little cardio exercise that will boost your loss. And then make your diet healthy. Personally I go for the very low fat, medium carbs and high protein method. And a little treat here and there won't hurt as long as it fits in to your calculated calorie intake. Good luck. 👍😁

1-2 lbs a week is all you need aim for if you are just a regular gal, no specific health conditions that require you take more off in a short period or something like that, anything more is just crazy, you are not in a competition or a sprint for fastest loser, you are surely doing this for your long term health? So take the long term view. Anything else is just a time bomb in my opinion...it puts undue pressure on you, unrealistic ideas, unrealistic targets, and is generally bad for your moral and discipline...because it is only a matter of time before your 'I have failed' mentality kicks in an destroys all you have worked for to this point and you find yourself 'resetting'. Some folks can hack it, me I am outright, plod and steady as she goes, if I hit 1lb on average, I figure I am doing ok, I am rarely disappointed, rarely upset with my progress, I do not use any 'plan', no diet food, I do not mess about with me grub either, I eat the skin if I want, I eat the yolks in eggs if I want etc... I have lost over stone now this way in the last 10-12 weeks and I eat whatever I like, seriously...I just try to keep under my RDI and tell myself I am in charge, my food is not in charge of me, I have made little adjustments here and there, such as not going to the supermarket running on empty and other similar things of course. As long as I do this RDI thing and other little things regularly enough, say 4-5 times a week at least, and my average intake is under my RDI despite going over 1-2 in week, I have not had one single week in 12 weeks where I have not lost at least half a pound, despite eating fast food, pie, cake, choccy, and I am on about 1.5 avg loss per week atm...I do not get stressed if I go over, I have learned, tough as it was, just to curb myself, in small steps, once i would eat all 4 toffee crisps, now I have one and a big coffee...and I drink tons of water too...and I have still managed to lose the stone or more despite not being on a diet or doing more excercise, which is something I really need to address... Wishing you all the best for the coming week...

Hi again. My calorie intake is 2200 per day. So my protein is approx 240 gram, carbs approx 200 gram and fats approx 35 - 40 gram. I intentionally add the fat by way of 10 gram of peanut butter and and the rest ( which ain't much lol) is derived from chicken and protein powder. If your mind is right it can be done, however I'm on week 13 ( 1 week left after this) and my body is literally craving fatty food. I look healthy and am in good shape ( pictures next week) but in reality my food should be more balanced. I eat NOTHING but oats, rice, chicken, onion, peppers, occasional steak, sweet potatoes, fat free plain yogurt and protein powder. Once a week or maybe a fortnight I'll have a huge KFC with loads of fries and a full cheesecake.. this does not put weight on me... it boosts the metabolism ... trust me.

Just out of interest Keats, what is your RDI? I usually try to aim for about 200cals under and often am about 200-400 under, this usually gives me some headroom for off days when I go over and still manage to drop a pound most weeks... I need to work on my fat intake though...Best wishes...

Sounds like that may not be enough cals for you to be honest, but see how you go I suppose...it could actually work against you...

Sounds like a great plan, well done for listening to your body.

my rdi is 1800 on here but when done bmr calculator it was 1526 but -500 cals leaves me with 1026 should be ok was coming on 500 cals a day before but time will tell all trial and error

food is a struggle I'm a fussy eater and do not like any type of fish battered steamed even fish fingers make me sick. shame as it's so good for you. not keen on pork either so it's a case of same old

I personally think 1026 is too low and is heading for trouble...and this could actually work against you... Why not try for 1500-1600 as a soft limit and 1800 as your hard limit...as long as you are not stuck in as sedentary and can move about at least a little bit, then you should still lose about a pound a week consistently, and of course you can drop your soft limit to say 1400-1500 if you feel it is too high...and see how this works out. Best wishes...

That sounds sensible, good luck and keep us posted 😁
