Hey Everyone. In case you've been wondering why I've been gone for the past week...I've had a huge set back. Friday afternoon at work I started having pain in my upper stomach SOO BAD! It is completely undescribable how bad it hurt, but it hurt bad enough to make me cry and I was uncontrollably sweating. I left work and then my mom came and got me and took me to the emergency room. They gave me morphine then did a cat scan of my stomach. Then they told me I was going to have to have surgery that night. I had to have my gallbladder removed. It pisses me off! IT COMPLETELY threw me off on my gym ritual! And now I have to take it easy. I cant lift over 10 pounds for now. I've been out of work all week, but I go back monday. When I came home from the hospital on Tuesday I weighed myself and I was 235!!! Which was such a shocker to me because I didnt eat a BITE all weekend!!! I really didnt... So I was really really bloated. But this morning when I weighed I was 225 which is good, reached my first goal. I'm gonna miss Zumba and kettlebells :(

Hope Everyone has had a better week than me

Ahhh I hope you feel better soon. One of my girlfriends had the same exact thing happen and all I can say is TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't rush lifting anything or moving around too quick. I just remembere a group of us walking like snails cause she really couldn't walk any faster. After recovery she was golden though!!! Take your time and get better, glad to have you back :-)

I hope you're feeling better. I've had my gallbladder removed and it was not a fun experience, but you should be back up and going in no time. The weight gain you had was probably from the fluid you were given. They load you up and then it seems to take a while to get rid of them. I hope you have a quick recovery. Good luck!!

Aww so sorry to hear that. Hope your feeling better and don't worry Zumba and kettlebells will still be there when you feel better. Just take some "Me" time and get yourself better. Take care hun!

Hang in there Sarah! I had my vsg in May and in June, I started experiencing the same pain that you are talking about only I thought it was that I had eaten something without chewing enough and stupidly waited 4 days before finally going into the dr and having it checked out. I ended up with emergency gall bladder surgery and was so dehydrated that I was in the hospital for a week being on constant fluids as well. I gained 20lbs in fluids!! Talk about a shock. It all came off pretty quickly in the next few weeks though. Just remind yourself that they probably pumped you with a lot of fluids as well and it is most likely just fluid retention. Heal up fast! :)
