28 years ago today that I quit smoking after years of heavy, heavy smoking-- up to 4 packs per day. I was convinced I couldn't do it, and put others who quit up on a pedestal. If I can do it, YOU really, really can quit. I am convinced that if I had smoked cigarettes five more years, it would have killed me. My lungs totally regenerated, and I am healthy with no breathing problems and no cancer. Do yourself a favor: QUIT SMOKING NOW! How? Make the decision to NOT smoke. Do it moment to moment, hour by hour and day by day. Congratulate yourself and keep your eye on the daily goal to get through the day without a cigarette. If you have children or grandchildren, put their photo in the pocket where you carry your cigrette pack. When you reach for a smoke, you'll be remineded that you're going to live for your kids.
