Cold wet weather here the last couple of days so haven't managed to get out with bubz for our usual walks

Do what feels right for you, just make sure you weigh yourself at the same time when you do e.g. morning or evening. :)

It has to be what walks that fine line between you obsessing and losing the will to continue. Some prefer once a week, eg Friday morning before eating anything and after using the bathroom. Myself - I prefer daily, again when my body's as 'empty' as it can be. Secret Squirrel's right though - it has to be what feels right for you. All the best!

Weight can fluctuate so much day to day depending on how hydrated you are, where you are in your cycle and if you're retaining fluid. Once a week on the same day each week after going to the bathroom and before eating and drinking anything gives the most accurate weight. I think it also helps to keep you on track if you know you have a weekly weigh in coming up and you want to see those numbers going down. Healthy weight loss is said to be half a kilo to a kilo a week so even if you only lose .3 or .4 of a kilo a week it is still good progress.

I weigh myself every morning, just before going into the shower....butt naked, after a coffee.

I force myself to weigh in once a week at the same time. I figure that if I do it more regularly then I will could get a false impression due to things like a variable water intake, hormone changes and so on. I've found a weekly check keeps me motivated but balance. Of course for others this might not work for them. I think the key is to weigh in often enough to see progress but not so often that it becomes an obsession and you fret about the changing results caused by other factors and not necessarily food intake.

I weigh in once a day to control my weight. first thing in the morning. that way if it's gone up I will know what would have caused it to increase from what I ate yesterday.

to see more than a weight change taking body measurements is a better way to observe were change is happening

I weigh in too often, I've noticed by weighing often that the big weight fluctuations must be water weight depending on the amount and type of carbs eaten

Initial big weight lose when low carbing is just water weight but does boost morale but will flatten out. As well as Scales; Mirror, tape measure, fat calipers
