TiffanyNicole89's Journal, 01 February 2017

So just did my first work out of my diet! I barely made it to the end haha. Squats, jumping jacks, twist squats, high knee march, 3 different push ups >.< and several other leg workouts...my legs feel like jello lol. Sweaty and heavy breathing and weak legs, I am proud that I actually finished the whole work out. What makes it even better (and what kept me from quitting) was my son (3 yrs old) kept bringing me my water bottle and wanted to do most of the exercises with me! It was adorable. He ended up quitting about half way saying he was too little to do them and wanted to go play trucks lol. But if he is paying attention that much to the work out I think after this week of doing it twice a week I will go more for him and possibly find work out videos that are kinda fun and more interactive for toddlers. I don't want my kids to be overweight or unhealthy, and I think this is a great way to get him healthy (he's not overweight by any means, he's actually almost underweight due to refusing any food that's not sweet or chips).

Awesome start! Keep the kids involved and they'll think it's a way of life.

I think it's so great that you are making it a family affair!!!!! One thing to think about with the kids, and I know it seems weird, but do a little research on apple juice and why it is one of the sugary things you should really really limit for children. I was shocked at some of the things I discovered. All the best!

My daughter is actually allergic to most apple juices, she can have an apple juice if it's 100% natural with nothing added, her allergist is uncertain as to what causes it in the juice but we don't buy it because we don't want to risk a reaction again....odd thing though she can eat applesauce and apples lol. We do however get flavors and powders to add to water, and she loves green tea. Thanks for the tip :).
