I'm about to meet my Mom for a sushi lunch.

Yesterday, I had my hair cut and colored at the salon. All the ladies were talking about food and diets. My stylist is a guy, but he vowed he would lose 40 pounds over the next year. Mr Coco was getting his hair cut there too, so we all talked about diet tips. It was good to review how I got to this point because I've been backsliding a lot. Count calories. Stay away from refined flour and sugar. Eat breakfast daily. Healthy snacks throughout the day so your blood sugar doesn't rollercoaster. No soda or sweet drinks. Making these things a habit is key. My problem lately is that I've reinstated the deadly habit of overeating at night. I will try to be mindful and divert my attention elsewhere.
163.0 lb Lost so far: 49.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Theresa! Just going back and reading your journals to get caught up with what's happening in your world! I did a lot of back sliding over the last 5 months myself, but this is a new year, and change is in the air!!! This year we are going to reach our goals and learn to maintain! Coco, I'm right there with you. How do we let these things happen when we know better? Just when you think you have your demons conquered, there they are again. We can do this. We just have to refocus our thoughts and energy. Hang in there. I'm sending hugs!
