I am currently 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first child. I am looking to start losing weight as quickly as possible once I have my baby. I also deal with being a Type I Diabetic, so things like weight loss can be difficult. There are many issues that go into making sure I get the right amount of carb/insulin ratios and I will have to relearn my "normal" ratios once I am no longer insulin resistant. (Hormones from the pregnancy lead to being insulin resistant.)

If you haven't learned low-glycemic eating before, this would be a good time to read up on it. It can really help with managing blood sugar levels and weight loss. You might find a Diabetes educator who knows about this who could help. Congrats on the baby and good luck as you move toward mom-hood.
