I have lost 48 lbs over 17 months. Mainly following Atkins like eating. I am pretty proud that I managed to stick to it, however having been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes is quite an incentive. I now have to incorporate exercise as I feel that this might make a difference and be healthier for me anyway. Starting with 10 minutes a day on the treadmill, for a week then upping it to 15 for a week and gradually getting up to 30 minutes. That's about it for me, at 77 I feel that will do it. I do not like exercising but I know I need to. And if it does as much for me as people say it will, maybe I will incorporate a bit of strength training too. However, that's where I am at the moment.
170.0 lb Lost so far: 48.0 lb.    Still to go: 30.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.3 lb a week
