Good Morning all my FatSecret friends! I don't mean my Fat Secret friends; there is no space between Fat Secret; it's Fatsecret. Oh never mind, you know what I mean. I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday - for those of you who celebrate the holiday.
I left work Wednesday night, I dropped off the engineering recertification package, at the post office, I had been working on, and with it, a whole bunch of anxiety. As usual, I overindulged during the course of my four day weekend. Then there was my wife's high school reunion - with a dinner as well. I didn't do my running, and I was a pretty bad boy when it came to the turkey, sage stuffing and gravy. I did watch everything I ate, from the time I put it on my fork until I put it in my mouth. :) On top of all that, I had the misfortune of having a head cold to deal with. So, I did the "feed a cold; starve a fever" thing. It worked. I feel much better; but I'm not getting on a scale this morning.
I packed my lunch sensibly this morning, and I intend to get back to running tomorrow morning. Life is good, and yeah; so was the rasberry pie. Whoops!

A doctor examined a woman, took the husband aside, and said, "I don't like the looks of your wife at all."
"Me neither doc," said the husband. "But she's a great cook and really good with the kids."

Seems like everyone was sick over Thanksgiving- what's up with that? This week is all about recovery and getting back on track!

Great start pack your lunch and get back to it now you are feeling better.....and we have Christmas on the way....so have to be prepared...

Way to enjoy life. I'm with you. I overindulged as well and don't feel bad about it. Thanksgiving comes but once a year. So what we stretched it out a couple days. We'll recover. Glad you were able to knock out that cold. Get plenty of rest and fluids to keep it at bay. I also watched everything I ate, it looked just as good going into my mouth as it did on my plate =)
