Just getting started, checking this out ...

Interestingly, I discovered this in a roundabout way - a friend told me about fitbook, but I was frustrated trying to get started there (unable to find food items I wanted to add for my very first entries, weird screen refreshes and unexplainable dialogs). I was considering giving up the idea but first looked for alternatives. I had no real luck there, but finally noticed that the fitbook website was powered by fatsecret :)

Welcome. This is the best site I've ever used. I like that it interfaces with my cell phone so I can add food on the fly. It makes it so much easier to keep track of what you eat!

Thanks for the welcome, Pigsauce! I haven't explored the mobile version yet, but I'm looking forward to it (and hoping that fatsecret plans to continue developing and improving this service).
