Sugar. What went wrong is sugar.

After looking at your food log I will say that sodium isn't the culprit; it's the carbs and sugars. I didn't look at your activity log.

I don't use my activity log, unless my Vivofit is populating it with my steps. But I think that goes someplace else. I will have to double check it.

Oh, My carbs were under what the Dietician recommends for my Diabetes. As long as I wasn't over I wasn't worrying. Although I'm planning to do a much lower carb diet due to us struggling to get my A1C down, I just found my old Atkins cook book and I need to try to get to a book store to find a paleo one.

I have diabetes as well. Type 2. My dr. told me to have 30-45 carbs per meal, but I don't. I try to stay below 50 per day. My A1C is now 6.5 and I am not on any meds. Lowering my carbs and exercising did the trick for me. Good luck to you! You will find what works for you :)

What did the dietician recommend? Lowering your carbs and exercising will get that A1C down especially the exercise. Get those steps in daily.

135 carbs per day. But that isn't really working for me anymore.

Get under 50, or, ideally, under 20. The magic really happens at >20. If you keep carbs under 20 grams, protein at 20%, and fat at 75% of calories, you will reverse the diabetes.

It seems that many "dieticians" really do not understand carbs and diabetes - 130 grams is pretty high for diabetics. I agree, slowly bring yourself down to at least 50 grams per day oo less and see if you get weight loss.
