Doctor concerned with fasting glucose, read 109. I was asked about my fasting, doctor put me on three days of fasting each week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, no caffeine, no cigarettes, no salty food, no added sugars, if blood glucose doesn't come down would have to cut out grains. Not liking this diet.
225.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 55.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 14.0 lb a week

Do you currently smoke? Also, about the caffeine - mad headaches if you drink it every day. Rough.

If my doctor is looking I don't. I didn't think I was fat, husky maybe. Is a thirty eight inch waist fat?

I never really measured the waist other than buying dress pants or jeans. I was in 42 slacks when I was 270. I was fat and I'm still fat but in 36 pants. It's all perspective until you look it up on the CDC wesite. For 5'10", obesity for me starts at 209 lbs.

yep, cowboy is right: I'm still "fat" because I'm over 163 pounds. I'm 167.25lbs, but it's all how you look at it until it becomes from a health perspective. Messed up, really, if you don't have health conditions, but it sounds like you do, do you? When you were fasting, were you taking in ANYTHING at all? 109 is high for a fasting sugar...

If your fasting glucose is 109, you're not in great shape. You'll feel and be healthier if you can improve that, shrink your waist and cut cigarettes. Want to be healthier?
