Had a little surgery last week which created a huge blip while my kidneys recovered. It's no fun putting on 12 lbs in 1 day. All is well now. Just have to deal with sitting around at home with lots of food. I threw the kids Halloween candy away yesterday. One less temptation for all of us.

oh man!!! Glad you are feeling better now. I have put on 10+lbs in a day. I know your pain. I can only imagine the discomfort my mom felt when she had her accident and put on 90!!!!! Yipes!!! Good move on throwing the candy away! I will admit I had a couple of weak moments during the month of Oct. where I gave in and bought a bag of Halloween candy...but after eating some and then mentally berating myself I would throw the rest out rather than keeping it around tempting me to death. MUCH better!!! I now know that I just gotta give in once in a while, indulge then PURGE the remains before I can not say no again. LOL!! That's a huge step for me. I NEVER would have DREAMED of throwing candy away a couple years ago. I have also discovered that the really hard little caramels with the chocolate centers (Nips) take a LONG time to eat so they are good as a reward without being too naughty to have around.
