LOL....10 Days off seemed to have turned into 35 days without journeling ;)
We got our 700 baby pheasants last Wednesday. Needless to say: they take up a lot of time!!!
The week before our beloved Holly crossed over the rainbow bridge. She was 17. Phil our vet was brilliant! We had already made the decision, but when she was deteriorating fast, he came earlier and put her out her misery.
I think people should be allowed to go so quick, peaceful and painfree!!
When I saw the consultant last he perscribed tranexamic acid to keep the length and strength of TOM at bay. Yes they work but boy do they make me sick. I only took them for 2 days (4 days is maximum) and I can't see me ever taking them again!!! And since I took them about a fortnight ago the thought of eating meat is making me nauseous. I did try some trout last saturday. Followed by 2 days of nausea and diarrhoea :(. So it looks like I am vegan sooner then later. I have been thinking about it for a long time, being intolerant to dairy, I already cut a lot of things out. But I never took the last step as I thought living with a carnivore would make things too complicated. Now it is not an option anymore. We will adapt. And I will still cook meat for him occasionally. Today a vegetable chilli is on the menu.

So sorry to hear about your companion passing. Also sorry that you have to give up meat, as well. 700 pheasants, really? Sounds delicious. Best wishes, I hope all works out for you.
