I've hit a plateau at 270 pounds. I have been following the Atkins diet since April 8, 2016, and haven't made much progress. I probably haven't been diligent enough. Whatever the reason for not losing more, my results are what they are and the question to be answered is what's the best way forward? I started a new diet journal on July 4th.I keep track of how much I eat and how much I weigh, but I try to banish all negative emotions. I try to stay positive. My positive format diet journal seems to be helping so far.

Try something different. I suggest watching a YouTube video: Dr. Jason Fung "Therapeutic fasting: Solving the Two-compartment problem."

What are you average daily caloric deficits over the past several weeks look like? If you're on the Atkins plan, it's pretty critical to ensure you're keeping a close eye on your carb intake as well to keep your body chemistry in a particular configuration. It's pretty easy to blow past that 20-30g limit without much effort. I'm running a Keto diet which requires similar carb restrictions, so I know how challenging that can be, but you can do it!
Everyday brings the possibility of success and a positive change for the future. Just keep yourself in that positive frame of mind, and hold yourself to that high level of accountability. It's an everyday struggle for me too, but just hang in there and stay accountable, most of all to yourself!
