Fledgist's Journal, 01 November 2011

I made it to the gym yesterday and did 55 minutes of workout. No change today, but I feel pretty good. I had a medical appointment screwed up by the doctor's office, which is not fun. It turns out that the doctor moved from one office to another, so when I go there it's going to be something of a magical mystery tour. What fun!

In just over two weeks, I'm off to a conference in Beantown.The second piece of a new project. If all goes well, I'll add more to it next summer (I definitely need to write another paper on a related subject, since I'd like to have a conference paper available for next autumn and the summer of 2012). The larger project is taking shape in my mind; I just need the time to research and write it.

I hear you on docs offices. I work in a hospital as an admin/medical secretary and the amount of screw ups has to be seen to be believed! Great job on the work out. Hope you can create the time to do the research and get your paper organized, big job but so rewarding. (thanks for the nice comment on my pic!)

Fledgist you are so close to a BMI of 25!!! Keep the gym up!!

I'm doing my best to keep up the exercise. My schedule is not wonderful, but I can manage. My goal is to maintain at a BMI of under 25 (at my goal weight it would be 23.5; that would be fantastic). Keeping it there would be the really hard work!

I guess for people like us - maintaining is going to be life long work - I think if you can incorporate healthy food that you like and exercise you enjoy, it will make the journey easier.... :)

Fledgist I am with you on the doctor screw ups am just going through one right now so fed up with them all I am going to change my MD after all this BS. You are so close to your goal it is incredible....
