Today I spent doing security at a local-ish high school for one of their events. The problem with said events, at least for me, is it ends with a "cookie social."

So I could only control myself to a point.

And then I stopped controlling much...

... but in the end, assuming FatSecret's generic "cookie" entry is decently accurate, I'm still in under my calorie count for the day.


I should probably have nothing else until tomorrow to be safe.

If I know I am going somewhere with sweets I will usually bring a Quest chocolate chip protein bar. They are high protein and high fiber. I will cut it into smaller pieces and eat that while others are eating whatever. Last weekend at a birthday party during cake & ice cream I ate pickles sitting on the table from a hot dog lunch. Nobody seemed to notice nor did anyone ask why I wasn't indulging. And if they did I would tell them I have eliminated inflammatory foods from my diet to help relieve some pain in my knees. I have found that being prepared with a snack helps. Good luck!
