SO I am traveling this week for 3 days. I leave tomorrow and will be getting home Thursday at 2am..

I checked the hotel, it has a pool and fitness center. My plan is as follows
Tomorrow- Workout before I leave for airport- do some sprints and get cardio in since Ill be on a plane all day
Wednesday- Do upper body circuit weights (depending on how sore I am from Trainer on monday) But all in all do some lifting if the gym isnt full of people. Plan B is to jump rope if the fitness center is full of people
Thursday- Workout in the evening at my gym at condo

SO I got my fitness plan. But food plan im worried about
Any tips on eating out? This is where I usually fail...

Tomorrow I plan to eat breakfast around 11:30.. lunch will be at the airport. I can order a grilled chicken breast and fresh veggies.

But dinner I will be at the hotel in san fran.. I plan to order in to my room since we will get in pretty late..around 9:00 i should be getting to the hotel sadly. Is sushi/sushimi a good choice?

I think actually I might just fast tomorrow as long as possible and eat my first meal at the air port before I board the plane..since the time zone difference. I want to try to keep my eating window 10 hour max. SO I suppose its better to break my fast later tomorrow

You got it! Sushi/sashimi is my go to road cuisine. Also have found fasting helpful through tough stretches - planes, runways. and airports - where eating right is particularly difficult. I almost never workout on the road, unless I have a hookup in town. good luck. you've got the right mindset.

Panigale...can I offer a thought? I noticed that you stated your workout plan for Wednesday has a Plan B if the gym isn't full of people. Maybe that comment was because it is a hassle to workout and get a good rhythm going when weights/benches/machines are occupied. I can understand that! BUT...if it is because of an intimidation feeling...I'm going to suggest that you just OWN that gym and know that your workout plan is no less important than anyone else's. I only say that because I speak from experience and it has taken me a LONG time to gain that confidence. I always planned my workouts around how many/who was present in the gym. It actually got quite discouraging when I didn't get to do the routine just because I felt intimidated or uncomfortable approaching the free weights area when others were there! So...if I interpreted your comment wrong, please forgive me. I just wanted to support you in your goals and gently encourage you to never compromise your routine out of intimidation. You and your goals are just as important as anyone else who is working out. Own it girl!

@SP Push those gym bro's out of your way, girl! The ladies' workouts are MORE IMPORTANT. #captainobvious

@SupPaddlegirl Actually for the gym at the hotel- it isnt so much intimidation as it is the gym is a tiny room. And I dont want to be lifting in a tiny 2 x 2 area. I would rather just do some sprint intervals so I packed my jump rope incase. But I would prefer to get atleast 30-40min of lifting on that morning before my meeting if possible. Actually I get more intimidated going to my gym near my boyfriend (NYSC) so many guys hogging all the benches and barbells I just usually do free weights alone on the mat. I always get a great workout but I wouldnt mind going into the other areas. I also hate when people STARE. I just want to flip those guys off...... :)

I totally get it, @Panigale! Glad that you are on your goals! And a tiny workout room isn't fun at all. Sounds like you are on it with your plans. You can't fail when there is a back up plan in place for sure :) haha...@jimmiepop! I'll remember that next time too!

any white rice is poor quality nutrition and high in cals - the chicken and veges are great (not fried chicken I hope and no extra sauce). . .

if I get the chicken and veggies I get it steamed and no sauce. I might stick with sushimi and maybe one roll. I will see how I feel. I agree eating white rice is not the best. But to me its better than pizza, pasta, any bread. Wheat is terrible so I would chose rice before wheat any day. Also I want something more filling than salad.
