I am new here and this is my first journal entry. I started out at 208. I wrote my goal weight as 185, but I haven't seen 185 since I a very young man. I try not to diet, because when I diet I think about food constantly. now I eat whatever and watch my calories, fat, protein and carbs. Right now my average calory intake is about 1400 per day. I am not trying to keep the count that low. it just seems to work out that way. I think it might be healthier to increase it some. what I did do (and it was very difficult) is to stop my intake of sugar. At first the cravings were awful, but now I don't miss it at all. things I need to learn are the ratios of fats, sugar, carbs and proteins. I don't seem to do well with that.
200.2 lb Lost so far: 7.8 lb.    Still to go: 15.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
