friendly555's Journal, 26 September 2011

I haven't recorded my food diary all weekend, but I'm not going to let my perfectionism get to me. Just because I missed a couple of days; it doesn't mean I can't start again.

I fell off the water wagon, but I'm back and I'm THIRSTY! I won't be able to get enough water in tonight but I'm gonna drink until I go to bed and start all over tomorrow.

I bought 2 new exercise videos, one is a walking one and the other is with Jillian Michaels Yoga. I did a mile walk at lunch today and man was I SWEATING. I will try the Yoga tomorrow morning.

I had a busy but fun weekend. My boyfriend went home today, that's why I haven't done much of anything of FS this weekend. I had fun, and now I'm back :) I've missed you all.

I read a comment on a post someone wrote I really liked. It has to do with using the words "starting over". If you start over that means youve quit. You didnt do that. Instead using the words "continue on" you eliminate any thoughts of guilt that might be lingering. Its amazing to me how important the choice of words is. I have the p90x tapes and he says instead of saying I cant or I wont be able to do something you say to yourself " today I am challenged" or something to the effect. Its good you had a fun with your man and concentrated on something other than weight loss for a moment. Its all about balance. Now start drinking your water lol. Please let me know what you think of her yoga dvd.

My boyfriend was so happy for me. He was so proud that I am eating healthy and get to have the benefit of losing weight at the same time. He thought it was funny that I had lost almost 20 pounds since he left and he has managed to find those 20 pounds by gaining that much weight since the start of summer. Luckily he is skinny so I think those 20 pounds did him some good :) @Pet: you are right, I didn't quit...I am going to continue on, not start over. Luckily this was only in regards to recording my food. Even though I was concentrating on other fun things I didn't lose sight of my healthy eating...which now thinking about it in a positive manner gives me some hope, because even though I wasn't surrounded by DIET DIET DIET, I still stayed on track and ate what I needed to :) Thanks for support!
