Feeling very overwhelmed today.
My kids and niece were supposed to spend Easter weekend with their grandparents. I planned to get ahead on school and housework.
A few hours after being picked up, my mother in law calls to tell me she discovered lice while they were at a church function and she's bringing them home.
I spent hours stripping beds, bagging stuffed animals, vacuuming, washing bedding and clothes.
And today I spent HOURS combing their hair.
Nothing.
Nothing at all in their hair. They were sent home with LOUSE. Not even LICE. Just one. Just the one that was found on (and removed from) my niece's head.
It probably came from one of the other kids at church.
So I have had to babysit my niece, (she and my sister inlaw and husband live with me) because they basically work all weekend.
With my house still ripped apart, I tried to make sure I at least didn't fall behind with schoolwork. Wound up failing a test because I rushed through the reading and was distracted, bringing my perfect 100% average to a 99.5.
Now I'm sick to my stomach, and I seriously just want to eat pizza and drink beer.
I don't think I've ever wanted a beer so badly in my life.
