I weighed in yesterday and was pretty discouraged. I know it should not be a big deal only gaining like .2 of a lb. But I have been walking and watching what I ate, even if I didn't get to record it. The scale did not bear witness to any of my efforts and I was wanting to throw in the towel. I know better. I asked friends for support and they were all to happy to help!

So now I just have to remember not to always go by the scale, but by how I feel. I feel a little lighter. My clothes seem to fit a bit better. Slow and steady, wins the race, right? I feel like I have said that before. ha ha!

Diet Calendar Entries for 10 November 2009:

Sometimes we don't see this weeks efforts till next week or more on the scale. Plus, working out can cause sore muscles which can show as temporary gain on the scale (sore muscles retain water). Eating to much sodium one day, can show as a gain on the scale. So many things factor in to weight loss. Gaining is a part of the weight loss journey. You can be up 1 pound today and down 5 tomorrow. Don't let a small gain throw you off. It's what you do over the long haul that counts.
