As most of you know, I am on the recovering side of strep throat. I hadn't had that since 4th grade. I had grand illusions that I was still going to be able to work, but alas finally just succumbed to the rest I needed. It's funny when the doctor tells you to rest, but with those pretty days, you want to do everything but rest! Even had to chill out on the workouts I'd planned for myself. Didn't really want to do that either. But I took my advice that I gave Mom when she was really sick earlier this spring -- rest. Even when you don't feel like it. That is the only way you will get better. I've run the 5 day gauntlet of strep (at least the paperwork on it said it usually lasts that long), and am hopefully going to be fully healed soon. My energy level is not back 100%, thus I haven't pushed myself to do the workouts planned yet. I will be back to it as soon as I feel 100%. The 22 push-up challenge I was able to manage even though I didn't feel well -- that was about 36 seconds that I could deal with -- and rest up afterwards. Today is the first day I have actually felt like posting a motivational quote. Advice to you -- if you do not feel well, go to the doctor sooner than later. If what you are treating as "allergies" is not improving, go to the doctor -- as in my case, it may not be allergies! Thanks for all the well-wishes! Positive Thinking
