Arrived in Florida after 3 days in the car. I feel happy with myself b/c I didn't eat any junk food. The rest areas are like Devils in Disguise, flaunting their tempting cinnamon buns dripping with carbs. My resistance was mostly intact until the restaurants at night. Wine one night, 12 oz of rib eye the next, and lastly, "all you can eat shrimp." We had packed our salads w/chicken for our lunches and breakfast eggs were easily available. The boredom and fatigue of riding in the car for 8 hours took its toll on my perseverence. I'll accept this as the learning curve, being mindful to discipline myself for the restaurants at night going forward. We are in the house now, so I think I will be stronger now. Hubby is tough on me too. It is fifty degrees here in Florida, it was 60 degrees when we left Massachusetts on Thursday. Who knew. Lastly, Hubby is happy we missed the 8 inches of snow and downed trees that fell the day after we left.

There isn't a scale in the rental house, so we are going to Wal*Mart tomorrow for my weigh in. Hubby suggested we "try out" one of theirs. Since I'll have to leave my clothes on, I'll record the one with the best results.😎
