My husband and I sat down, and planned our next couple of weeks worth of dinners. For us, that's a major accomplishment. Unfortunately he didn't get to make it to the grocery store to do our one big shopping trip as planned yesterday. I ended up emailing my boss and staying home today because I woke up with a massive migraine. he ended up down with an upset stomach.

By the time it was time to pick up kids, and get dinner, neither one of us were feeling too hot. Since I was in the better shape of the two of us, it was up to me to hit the store (still have the headache, but on nowhere near the scale it was this morning) I was tempted to punt. We'd decided on Salmon, rice, and raw snap peas for dinner tonight. I had all the old messages playing through my head, it's too expensive. It will take too long to cook. I will have to listen to the kids complain. Etc.

I did it anyway. The salmon was expensive comparatively speaking, but we have leftovers. I had no idea how quickly it bakes. I ended up concerned it would be done well before the rice. And the kids did not complain. As a bonus, I was able to use our little foot stool in the kitchen to get in some stair steps while I was cooking. I made sure they were all aware that I hope to cook more meals like that. Even my oldest daughter who doesn't really like fish said she would eat it again.

I ended up spending quite a bit because I also bought some fish oil supplements, Multi-vitamins, and B Complex to take here at home. And I grabbed some other fruits for the kiddos and I to have here at home. Tomorrow night we have Chicken (for the kiddos and I) and a Pork chop for hubby planned.

Since I still have my headache, I'm only going to do some stretching and low impact stuff for exercises tonight. However I will go up to the shopping center for my walk tomorrow, and we'll probably get our grocery shopping done too. It sounds like a trip to the pet store may happen, as my son is trying to sell me on getting him a turtle. I told him it sounds like a good birthday request.

Also, the resistance bands arrived today, so I'm eager to start working with those as well.
