I finally got back to working out today, and I'm already feeling it! I actually switched it up a little, I still love my SI6, I just wanted to try something new. I love when I watch workouts before I do them, and then underestimate how hard the moves are b/c they don't *look* that challenging, that logic tends to bite me in the ass everytime, lol. So, I tried Tracy Anderson's Post Pregnancy Workout. If I had a child, and had to do that workout 4-6 days a week to get my body back, I'd settle for whatever body I had lol. It was pretty tough, and it wasn't like SI6 at all. I love those ballet type workouts w. the pulses, it was a nice break from SI6. I don't look forward to SI6 the way I did Turbo Jam, TJ would get me pumped like I was going to a party so just listening to the intro dvd music while I put on my workout gear put me in the mood. SI6 is more like a countdown of when the workout is going to be over, but I do it b/c it gives me amazing results. I have a very short attn: span though, so now I'm looking @ Slim Series to add some variety. The workouts are actually longer and harder, but I feel like it'll be a good mix once I decide to try it lol. I was alternating Burn It Up and Keep It Up, which is so misleading b/c KIU is as tough as BIU, but I think I convince myself that its not as hard b/c its shorter forgetting that the leg work and resistance work is double; and the pushups are tougher. I'm excited to get back on track though, I had a short diet/exercise hiatus, last time I checked I was only up 1.5lbs which is fine by me that'll be gone as soon as I get back to being strict.
I haven't been strict at all in my diet and I think thats the part that I'm struggling with. Since I don't have a specific schedule since I'm still looking for work, I tend to procrastinate and being in the house isn't helpful as well. It's actually getting really cold over here, or sometimes its colder in my house than it is outside so I really don't want to move. I'm not sure why, but when it gets colder my body can't stop thinking of hearty food. I didn't waver at all for pasta this summer, but I can't get it off my mind these days. I indulged a few times, but I need to get it under control while I can still fit in my jeans! :) Thank god for at home workouts though b/c when I lose weight I get cold faster and getting to the gym is already a feat, bad weather is just a great excuse! I can't believe it's already Fall, I can't wait to be skinny for 2010, yay!
