This is a question going out to my Low Carb buddies, especially those in the business of raising cattle. Which is better, grass fed, or grain fed beef, and why? Which do you prefer, and why? What do you feed your cattle? And finally; do you get the benefits of both, by feeding your cattle a combination of grain/corn and grass by doing it at different times within their life cycle, why or why not? I'm asking because I've been watching a lot of barbecue cooking shows. I have a new smoker that my Dad never got around to using, and I want to use it. Brisket takes a long time to cook, right, and I figure if I'm going to spend that much time, and money on beef, doing it, I want the best meat possible, and who better than the experts to ask. Thanks, in advance for your responses. :-)

i'm not an expert, but the golden rule of programming is crap in crap out. it doesn't just matter what you eat, but also how the meats you eat is nourished. kinda like comparing yolks and flavor of eggs from a factory vs. eggs from a farm. the yolk from the farmed egg is brighter, creamier, and i think more delicious. if you've got the money, take care of yourself & enjoy the best meats you can buy! check around to see if there's a co-op or CSA where you are able to purchase meat from the farm. all the best & enjoy
