Did really well yesterday. I had a baseball coaches meeting last evening where the beer, chips, pretzel and pizza were flowing. I didn't have even a sniff of anything. I took my water bottle and just did my thing. I keep having little victories and I have extremely well for 22 of 24 days and have only lost 4lbs. Getting frustrated with Keto. I know I did bad this past weekend and it will take some time to recover, but come on, 4lbs?

Excellent job staying on track at that meeting, lots of temptations were there. I understand your frustration and wanting to lose the weight faster. Keto works, you have to stick to it in order to get results, one day of going too far over in carbs means it'll take a few days to get back into ketosis. My thoughts are this: We each have to find an eating plan that allows us to lose weight that works for us. Many people can do keto and stick with it. I lost weight with it many times in the past, worked great, but I couldn't stick with it. So for me to make a long term life change keto would be hard to do - I count calories and have macro targets I try to get close to each day and can sustain that. As for your 4 lbs lost, also remember that all progress is good. If this is going to be a permanent change you're making the speed of losing weight is secondary to just continuing to move forward with it. Because what are the consequences quitting and going back to the way things were? For me that would mean becoming diabetic, worsening of my heart disease, certain bypass surgery in the future, probable heart attacks, and just being unhappy with myself. I'm on a path of no return, no going back. Whether you choose to continue with keto or go another way with this, I just want to encourage you to keep it up and stick with it. Change/adjust if needed but don't give up. The results even if they are slow are worth it. Even at the rate you're losing, over a year that amounts to about 60 pounds in a year. I've been at this since May 2014 and have lost less than 60 lbs in that time. Wishing you lots of success!
