Week 4 of cardiac rehab complete!

Back in Nov 2014 I was attempting to expand my cardio from ellipticals to running a 5K. Started a C25K in 9 weeks program, and STRUGGLED to get beyond running 1 minute, then walking 3 minutes, then repeat. This Friday, I thought I'd try running, since my sternum is supposed to be 100% healed. AMAZING WHAT YOU CAN DO WHEN YOUR HEART HAS OXYGEN! Took my heart rate up to 160 BPM during the running portions and felt great... never got it over 145 before surgery without feeling super winded. Walked for 2 minutes till it came back down to 135, then back to running. 30 minutes with no issues. Anxious to see how my nutrtion plan has affected the scale weight. Started doing wall pushups in a doorway to get this chest muscles working again after 8 weeks of not using them.
