Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 27 May 2015

I am exhausted. I don't have a reason to be exhausted. I just am. I need one of those mental health days where I take the boys to the sitter, lock the bedroom door, and sleep for as long as I want. I never do. I lay there for 10 minutes thinking of all the things I have to do then get up. Maybe this is why I'm exhausted.

Mindfulness? Out the window. Kitkats are the in thing these days. I need to get down to 180 by the end of next month.. I need to refind my zen.. er mindfulness.. or just the ability to stop cramming food in my pie hole. My hand currently smells like some salt/garlic combo from my lunch. This is helping... maybe I just have to put strange smelling lotion on my hands. It will keep me from eating and keep coworkers at a distance.

I'm going to pass out on my desk now. If I'm snoring.. I'm not eating. Maybe I will dream I'm running and burn a couple extra calories twitching.

Have missed your entries....take care of yourself....being run down is not good. We know that you are a very busy lady...but remember if you don't take care of you, no one else will....

Awww sorry. Mom's of small children who work need a mental health day now and then. I never had them but wished that I did.

Too bad they don't make a healthy kitkat! I can recommend Detour bars--they are protein bars that are actually tasty to eat. While you won't be fooled that you are eating a candy bar, I enjoy them. (I have been auditioning protein bars and I have found some losers, believe me. This is the only one I have bought twice.) Keep some of those on hand to help with your chocolate cravings and at least you will be getting some good stuff in there too. I hope you have a good nap. Take care of yourself. :)

I thought I was reading my last Wednesday post when I started reading this. It started the same way. Maybe you do need that day. Maybe sending the boys and doing the things that are stressing you will help. Stress kills. I'm the Queen f stress so I know. Take care of you.

I've been exhausted lately, too. Everyday last week I napped in my car over lunch and still went to bed about the same time...if not earlier. When you sleep in your car...you might feel a little homeless...I work in a really safe neighborhood and park away from others...they don't need to see me drool. BUT....you are not at home, so you can't get up and do things like dishes and laundry...the guilt seems to be lessened. :)
