Hi beth, I'm still trying to get started here. I need to record a list of foods I've eaten today.

It is really, really important to keep track of what you eat so you can monitor your calories. I actually don't track on this site, I use My Fitness Pal because I like their database better, but I like the people here a lot. You will find everyone is very supportive.
