At last Thursday's TOPS meeting, I had a gain for the third week in a row. Enough is enough!

My eating has improved somewhat, but there is a lot of room for improvement. Also, because of my pain issues, I've gotten hardly any exercise to speak of. I did, however, challenge myself to drive to Asheville last Friday (Driving has been painful too) and renewed my annual pass at the Biltmore Estate. Used my walker and got a great workout, because I had to walk up and downhill to get to where I wanted to go. Spent a few hours there taking photos. Shot just over 200. Driving home was more painful than going, because of all I had done.

Shopping for groceries takes a lot out of me, and I've put it off more than once because I was hurting too badly. I have food to eat at home, but I've been eating out quite a bit lately. That needs to stop -- not only because all the sodium and fat in restaurant food but also to help my food budget. This weekend the Saturday Market reopens for the season, and I'll be shopping for fresh produce, free range antibiotic-free chicken and more. Plus I'll be getting exercise pushing my walker up and down Main Street.

I have most of the month of May to get my healthier eating plan going before my next doctor's appointment. I'm hoping to be able to go off of one of my more toxic meds. It would really help my case, if I could take off some weight by then.
